The Lock Tavern

Last week me and Mr. Soft from the marvellous TAPE blog played some records and mp3s and cds down the Lock Tavern in Chalk Farm. Mr. Soft sums it much more eloquently than I possibly could so read about it here:

In terms of what I played here's a little list of stuff in no particular order:

Massive Attack - Protection (Quiet Village Remix)
Jamie Woon - Wayfaring Stranger (Burial Remix)
Shackleton - Blood On My Hands
Zongamin - Phibes House
Pobjednicki Cocek
Uncle Jim - Superstars Of Greenwich Meantime
Little Barrie - Cash In (An Optimo Beatless Edit)
Midlake - Roscoe (Beyond The Wizards Sleeve Remix)
Findlay Brown - Losing The Will To Survive (Beyond The Wizards Sleeve Remix)
Hatchback - White Diamond (Prins Thomas Remix #2)
Beck - Black Tambourine
Noze - Remember Love
They Came From The Stars I Saw Them - Its Time (An Optimo Espacio Dub Remix)
Kaos - Panopeeps (Shit Robot Remix)
Blackbelt Anderson - En Real T Jukkas
Love Is All - Busy Doing Nothing (An Optimo Espacio Remix)
Blondie - Fade Away

As Kiran mentioned a random girl did come and ask what the Jamie Woon track was - proof if anything that dubstep is crossing over! And a friend who was there also reckoned that the Midlake - Roscoe track sounds like Richard Marx. The track is now forever tainted by that comment. Thanks alot Sarah.

They Came From The Stars I Saw Them - The Unstoppable Kite is out on Monday. If you can't wait watch the band playing it live here:
